Green Planet Catering Wins "Most Surprisingly Delicious" at Iron Chef Chocolate
On June 4, 2009 five caterers from the approved list of the Natural Sciences Museum in Raleigh held an Iron Chef style competition to compliment the new Chocolate Exhibit. All the caterers turned out some excellent food. Many focused on preparing sweets and their presentation but Green Planet never does it by the book.
Chef Vaughen created a cocoa rubbed pork belly with Dino kale. To compliment this savory dish, he created a Chocolate Bacon Truffle with a cocoa and chili coating. The guests were shocked by the combination and incredible flavors and our team won Most Surprisingly Delicious.
