Green Planet Catering Blog - Green Planet Starts a Production Farm: The Start Of Our Summer

We're back after a lengthy delay due to massive amounts of farm work. It's official, our first farm party, Stock The Barn, was a big hit. We've started collecting turnips, radish, and greens! Our water is a flowin' and that means we're grinnin'.

About 75 guests attended Stock The Barn, a party designed to find volunteers for our Farm For Food program. We met all the neighbors, cooked crawfish and enjoyed the tasty treasures of Big Boss Angry Angel Kolsh and Cottonwood IPA (both local brewers). Many of the guests helped do some light work and even found time to bring out some donated farm equipment. Thanks so much!

Ben Keefer will now be spending a good deal of time on our farm with us. He's setting up some mobile housing, creating some waste recycling programs for the farm, and generally using his vast knowledge to increase our production. We're grateful to have him!
